About us

The team behind the lights

Area Entertainments is supplying sound, lighting equipment and LED screens for Herefordshire's events for more than four decades. We hire it, we sell it, and our engineers install it, for everything from a wedding or club night to a gig or corporate function.

We're a local, approachable team. Call us early in your planning and we'll happily suggest ideas for your venue and your budget, with no obligation. Then, on the day, we're there to set up, test and take down, so the only thing you have to think about is enjoying your event.

How it works

From first call to final take down

Tell us your plans

What the event is, where and when it's held, and roughly how many people are coming. We'll suggest the right equipment for the occasion.

Site visit and quote

Where it helps, we'll visit the venue at a time that suits you. Then we'll send a clear quotation covering everything you need.

We set up and test

Our technicians arrive ahead of your start time, or the day before where required, and have everything tested and ready.

With you on the day

Where needed we stay on hand to run sound, slideshows and lighting, then take everything down professionally afterwards.

We cover all of Herefordshire and the surrounding areas.
What happens after I get in touch?
Once you've sent your enquiry, we'll contact you by email or phone to talk through your event and what you might need.
How long does set-up take?
It depends on the amount of equipment and the size and shape of your venue. We always check your event timings and plan ahead so everything is ready by the agreed time.
Can you work with musicians or performers I'm booking?
Yes. Let us know who is performing and what instruments or equipment they're bringing, and we'll use the right kit. If you like, we'll liaise with the artist directly.
What equipment will I need?
That depends entirely on your event. After our initial chat we'll send a quotation listing exactly what we recommend, and we'll arrange a site visit if one would help.
